Product Summary

Ucontrol products include electro-mechanical actuators, electronic controllers, and adaptors that allow fast retrofitting to common above- and below-ground pressure control assets, namely pilot control valves. Ucontrol product variants include those designed to operate whilst submerged underwater (IP68 for 30 days continuous usage at up to 1.5m depth). All Ucontrol products are provided with ATEX / UKEX Zone 0 accreditation and gas group IIC compliance, and are battery-powered (3 years’ lifetime).

The Ucontrol component is designed as a semi-autonomous pressure control system with multiple layers of security of supply-risk mitigation features, most notably mechanical end stops on the actuator drive system, which mechanically limit the resulting outlet pressure of stations under failure conditions. The Ucontrol component can be configured to continue effective pressure control even with extended loss of communications with centralised control platforms, eg. due to interruption of cellular connectivity.
