Pressure Control
Utonomy offers a full suite of direct and remote pressure control devices – automation systems for use in gas distribution networks to monitor and adjust gas pressure at regulator stations or governors, allowing network management from a remote control centre rather than manually at the site. They are a key part of modern ‘smart gas grid’ infrastructure.

Controllers
Utonomy’s controllers generate set-point pressure commands for connected Ucontrol actuators, in order to modify the outlet pressure of pressure regulation sites in low pressure and medium pressure networks. Controllers also sample and record measurements of inlet and outlet pressures, and local ambient temperature.

Actuators
Utonomy’s actuators are interfaced with pilot regulators, typically installed on auxiliary (control) rails, in order to control the set-point pressure of pressure regulation sites. The linear motion of the actuator is used to compress or extend the control spring located within the pilot regulator.
The actuator concept has been specifically designed to retrofit to existing gas distribution equipment with almost no modification.

Adaptors
The Utonomy adaptor kits allow Ucontrol actuators to be interfaced with a wide variety of pilot regulators, typically installed on auxiliary (control) rails, to control the set-point pressure of pressure regulation sites. Once interfaced, the linear motion of the actuator is used to compress or extend the control spring located within the pilot regulator.
Ucontrol adaptor kits have been specifically designed to allow actuators to be retrofitted to existing gas distribution equipment with almost no modification. They include kits designed for installation into both above- and below-ground environments.
